This forms part of a larger MoD-funded project, which brings together novel technologies from UK companies for future UAVs. From a standing start 18 months ago, 2d3 AIG has established a significant presence in an area of rapid growth in the UK defence market, with three contract wins and a greater number of short-term prospects in both the UK and the US. “Vicon continues to perform well in all markets. It is celebrating its customers’ involvement in the making of The Golden Compass, which won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects at the 2008 Academy Awards, in addition to a BAFTA award this year for Special Visual Effects at the Orange British Academy Film Awards.”
